Are there worms in my expired almonds?

Blue Diamond Smokehouse Almonds, w/ a "best before" 1/15/11 (5 ms ago). Just freaked out my girlfriend saying her mom back in the day opened a Hershey's Choc bar to find small white maggot looking worms in the almonds. Love fishing, hate worms. Love almonds, don't wanna eat a worm.
