Could you use a firearms licence for id have a expired drivers licence but expired to get into a bar?

had to renew my drivers licence so i have to wait for it in the mail but they gave me a paper to use to drive tell my licence comes, the firearms licence is a government issued card so i should be able to use it for id ?
