What do i do about this boy i really like?

there's this boy named nico and i have like him for 6 and a half years. so his best friend named michael asked me out and i said yes to b nice. so then he started becoming a complete jerk and i heard he was going to break up with me and he heard i was going to break up with him, and both of these things are true. so i ended up breaking up with him and now whenever he speaks to me he's either really mean, really shy or ignores me. and now i really like his best friend and i think he likes me. and hes been telling my friend that he thinks im hot and he had a crush on me in 1st grade. but the problem is now there are (including me) 5 girls tht like him. i really like him but i dont knoe what to do. please help
